Investment Management & Markets

The best idea, wherever it comes from

Open-architecture access to global markets, supported by our own research and executed by a dedicated dealing desk.

Investment Management & Markets

We build portfolios from the full breadth of global markets rather than a shortlist of in-house products. Across equities, fixed income and multi-asset strategies, our role is to identify the most suitable holding for your objectives, not to fill a product shelf. We are not obliged to recommend our own funds, and usually don't.

Every recommendation is suitability-led under MiFID II and made on an open-architecture basis. We take no retained retrocessions, so the advice you receive reflects your interests rather than ours. Our research desks frame the opportunity, our advisers translate it into a portfolio, and our dealing desk executes it across global venues.

Capabilities

What this includes

Global Equities, Fixed Income & Multi-Asset

Direct holdings and pooled strategies across developed and emerging markets, blended into portfolios aligned to your risk profile and objectives.

Funds & ETF Platform

An open fund and ETF platform spanning active and passive managers, selected on merit and not limited to Riesant products.

Structured Products & Alternatives

Structured products, private markets and real assets offered where they are suitable and add a clear role within the portfolio.

Riesant Research

Dedicated desks for Macro, Fixed Income, Equities, Sustainable Investing and the Family Office, informing every recommendation we make.

FX & Treasury

Spot and forward foreign exchange across EU currencies, used to fund investments and manage currency exposure within a portfolio.

Open architecture, in practice

Open architecture is only meaningful if it changes what you are offered. Our fund and ETF platform is curated from the wider market, with managers selected on merit and replaced when conviction fades. Because we retain no retrocessions, there is no commercial reason to favour one provider over another.

Where a structured product or an allocation to private markets or real assets is appropriate, we will say so and explain the trade-offs, including liquidity, complexity and cost. Where it is not, we will not propose it. Suitability, not product availability, sets the agenda.

Research that informs the portfolio

Riesant Research is organised into desks covering Macro, Fixed Income, Equities, Sustainable Investing and the Family Office. Their work is not published for its own sake; it feeds directly into the recommendations your adviser brings to you and into the positioning of discretionary mandates.

This connection between research, advice and execution is deliberate. An investment view is only useful once it has been tested for suitability and translated into a holding that can be funded, traded and reported within your portfolio.

Execution and treasury

Our dealing desk executes across global venues, seeking competitive pricing and orderly execution in both routine and less liquid markets. For cross-border investing, our FX and treasury capability provides spot and forward foreign exchange across EU currencies, allowing positions to be funded and currency exposure to be managed alongside the underlying assets.

We do not quote indicative rates here. For prevailing pricing, please refer to our rates page or speak with your relationship manager.

Questions, answered

Do you only recommend Riesant funds?

No. We operate on an open-architecture basis and are not obliged to recommend our own funds, and usually don't. Managers and instruments are selected on merit from across the market, and we retain no retrocessions on the products we recommend.

How do you decide what is suitable for me?

Recommendations are made under MiFID II suitability rules, based on your objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon and knowledge and experience. Structured products and alternatives such as private markets and real assets are offered only where they have a clear and appropriate role in your portfolio.

Can you help manage currency exposure on international holdings?

Yes. Our FX and treasury desk provides spot and forward foreign exchange across EU currencies, used both to fund investments and to manage currency risk within a portfolio. We do not publish indicative rates; current pricing is available on our rates page or through your relationship manager.

Where are my trades executed?

Our dealing desk executes across global venues, seeking competitive pricing and orderly execution. Research, advice and execution sit within one relationship, so a view that has been tested for suitability can be implemented and reported in a single, coordinated process.
