Insurance is not a product we sell so much as a discipline we apply: identifying where a loss would be material, sizing the exposure honestly, and placing cover with insurers equipped to meet a claim. We work as an arranger, drawing on a panel of established underwriters rather than a single in-house book.
Protection sits naturally beside lending, investment and estate planning, and we treat it that way. Your relationship manager can see where a Lombard facility, a property purchase or a succession plan creates a need for cover, and coordinate accordingly. Policies arranged through us are visible in your client portal alongside your accounts and portfolios, so the whole picture stays in one place.

Arranged, not sold
Riesant arranges protection through a panel of insurer partners selected for their financial strength and their record on claims. We are not tied to a single underwriter and we do not retain commissions that would bias the advice; where remuneration arises it is disclosed. The aim is straightforward — appropriate cover, on clear terms, at a fair price.
Because we coordinate rather than manufacture, we can match each risk to the insurer best suited to it: a mainstream carrier for a principal residence, a specialist fine-art syndicate for a collection, a marine underwriter for a yacht. You retain one point of contact while benefiting from the depth of the wider market.
Seen alongside everything else
Cover only protects you if it keeps pace with your circumstances. Policies arranged through Riesant appear in your client portal next to your accounts, portfolios and facilities, with renewal dates and key terms set out plainly. Your relationship manager reviews them as part of the periodic relationship review, flagging gaps that emerge as assets, liabilities or family arrangements change.
This integration matters most at the joins. A new property, a drawdown against a Lombard line, the addition of an asset to a trust — each can alter what should be insured and for how much. Holding protection within the relationship means those changes are noticed rather than overlooked.
Suited to the risk that matters
Not every exposure warrants cover, and over-insurance is its own form of cost. We begin by understanding where a loss would genuinely set you back, then concentrate protection there. For some clients that is straightforward life cover supporting an estate plan; for others it is a specialist policy for a single irreplaceable item. We work alongside your own tax and legal advisers so that cover, ownership and structure are consistent.

Does Riesant underwrite these policies itself?
No. Riesant Bank plc is MFSA-licensed for credit and investment services; we arrange protection as an intermediary with specialist insurer partners. The insurer underwrites the policy and pays any claim, while we coordinate placement, renewals and reviews on your behalf.
Can I see my policies in the client portal?
Yes. Protection arranged through Riesant is shown in your client portal alongside your accounts and portfolios, with renewal dates and principal terms set out so the full picture stays in one place.
Is travel and medical cover available to all clients?
International travel and private medical cover is offered to Riesant Private relationships (€1m or more in investable assets) and above. Other cover, such as life, property and collections, is available across client tiers where it is suitable.
How does insurance work with my tax and estate planning?
Protection is most effective when it reflects how assets are owned and how your estate is structured. We coordinate with your own tax and legal advisers, and with our wealth and estate planning colleagues, so that cover, ownership and succession arrangements remain consistent. We do not replace your tax adviser.
